Knickerbocker Machine Shop has been in continuous operation since 1943. Starting as machine designers and welders in a 3-car garage in Paterson, New Jersey, the Company soon focused on producing the ASP Brand of austenitic stainless steel, duplex and high alloy pipe fittings, plugs and unions in 1944. The ASP Brand, marketed by Alloy Stainless Products Company Inc. became well known and internationally sold through PVF distributors for use in the chemical, pharmaceutical, petro-chemical, power & energy, shipbuilding, and nuclear power industries.
The company manufactures fittings in ranges NPS 1/8 through 6, Socket-welding and Threaded, Class 150 through Class 9M, 304/304L, 316/316L, 317/317L, 321, 347, Alloy 20, AL6XN, 2205, Monel 400, 600 and 800 Nickel Alloys, Hastelloy C276. Material Specifications include ASTM/ASME A/SA-182, A/SA-403, B/SB-366, B/SB-564, Thread Standards ASME B1.20.1, ASME B2.1. Product Standards covered are ASME B16.11, MSS-SP-79, MSS-SP-83, MSS-SP-95, MSS-SP-114. A large selection of standard products are maintained in inventory. Other products are price and delivery on application.
In addition to products manufactured to national and international standards, ASP also does custom machining of specialty parts to the customer’s specification or drawing. Whatever the project, ASP is a good fit.
ASP has a Quality System Program that conforms to 10CFR50 Appendix B, 10CFR Part21, NQA-1, ASME Section III NCA-3800, ISO 9001:2000, and CSA B51 Annex F. Fittings are registered in all Canadian Provinces. Complete traceability and accurate material test reports are ensured and Positive Material Identification (PMI) certification is available.
