KnitRegen is a wearable MedTech company, creating the next generation smart garments and technology for neurological recovery. Based in InnovationRCA, our patent-pending smart textiles deliver state-of-the-art, precise muscle stimulation. Our smart textiles provide long-term continuous input to neural pathways, influencing recovery of movement. Our aim is to empower patients to take ownership of their rehabilitation; assisting beyond traditional clinical settings, improve adherence to recovery plans and lead to better patient outcomes. Tracking progress offers the opportunity to assess the efficacy of treatment options and individuals’ recovery progress remotely. Our work doesn’t focus solely on the medical outcome, but on understanding identity, culture and behaviour to create a desirable wearable medical device and increase compliance. The smart garment aims to be the least disruptive to everyday life, by fitting into existing dressing routines, being easy and intuitive to use.
