Know My World was founded in 2012 with a mission to support teachers in transforming the traditional educational experience through the inclusion of Social, Emotional, and Cultural Competencies. As global educators, we truly understood the value and importance of cultivating a global mindset in students and fostering positive cross-cultural exchanges. Over the years we have had the privilege of connecting with more than 170 teachers in over 30 countries to create meaningful cross-cultural exchange opportunities for over 2,500 students.
This mission continues today as our community of dynamic global educators continues to grow. We continue to strive to create personal relationships and customized experiences with each educator we work with. We know how rigorous the academic demands can be and we appreciate your desire to still include soft skill competencies as well. In order to best support you, our highly trained educational facilitators work with you to create customized student projects that allow you to incorporate Social, Emotional, and Cultural Competencies within your content area.
What Do We Provide?
Classroom to classroom virtual cross-cultural exchange programs that provide opportunities for students to connect with peers around the world and enrich their cultural understanding.
Teacher support through lesson plans, personalized facilitation and customized project development for student virtual cross-cultural exchange experiences.
Professional Development webinars and training with optional coaching and community support for teachers.
Digital workbook resources, including our Responsible Global Citizens Series, and other engaging resources designed for elementary and secondary students focusing on social, emotional, cultural, and global awareness.
