Kobaloni Energy is developing Africa’s first cobalt sulphate refinery in Zambia. Once in production, our cobalt sulphate will provide automotive manufacturers with a reliable supply of traceable battery grade cobalt for their electric vehicles.
Using tried and tested minerals processing technology, we will produce an initial 6,000 tpa of cobalt sulphate (metal contained). Our aim is to produce cobalt for 1 million EVs per year, with the potential to double production. Key project attributes include:
