EN | Kobe is an approved spin-off at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Florence, a group of researchers and experts in the Civil Engineering field (prof. Michele Betti, Vladimir Cerisano Kovačević, Riccardo Corazzi, with the support from prof. Gianni Bartoli and prof. Luca Facchini) whose scope is the transfer of knowledge between the world of academic and laboratory research and everyday practice. We believe that technology and IT, combined with open source tools and philosophy, are the best instruments in providing problem solutions in a profession which is based equally on theory and practical aspects. We cover the fields of:
1) Structural and Seismic Engineering;
2) Cultural Heritage;
3) Structural Health Monitoring;
4) Numerical FEM Simulation in general;
5) Software Development in the Field of Civil and Structural Engineering.
