At the time, the wholesale furniture market felt saturated, but disconnected. The options were either over-complicated or overpriced — and the design community was asking for more. More flexibility. More consistency. More heart. So, we stepped into the gap. Kolbi began not as a showroom, but as a solution — a response to the real, everyday needs of interior designers, property stylists, and developers. We launched with a curated range of timeless, trade-focused pieces that delivered on design, reliability, and value. No fluff. No compromise. We opened our first showroom in Paddington, followed closely by our Queensland space in Teneriffe — spaces created not just to display furniture, but to foster connection.
