As bacteriosapiens, humans need exposure to a diverse range of microorganisms in order to thrive. In trading in traditional foods for processed “foods of convenience”, immunity has decreased while auto-immune disorders, allergies and metabolic disease have increased. While other factors play a role, the research from the Human Microbiome Project are pointing to a lack of diversity in the gut as a key culprit in a wide variety of illnesses. In addition to their online presence, Kombucha Kamp founders Hannah Crum (aka The Kombucha Mamma) & Alex LaGory, are also the co-authors of the Amazon bestseller “The Big Book of Kombucha” (Storey 2016) and the founders of Kombucha Brewers International, the trade association protecting and promoting commercial Kombucha producers worldwide.
