The Kongsberg eScore is the latest electronic target system developed by Kongsberg Target Systems. Decades of experience with shooting, technology, electronics, projectile detection, and system development know-how are summed up and focused on making the best scoring system in the world. One of the major features of Kongsberg eScore is solely based on “standard” network communication (TCP/IP). This means that an endless variety of system topologies are possible; and that communication over Wifi, network cables, fiber optic cables, the use of modems, or combinations of these, is possible. Further, this leads to the system using commercially available products (COTS), providing the best functionality at the most affordable prices. The Kongsberg eScore also uses commercially available tablets as shooter monitors (driven by Windows, Android, or iOS operating system). The tablets provided by KTS are ruggedized, touch-operated, battery-powered and connected to the eScore system by WiFi. The customer can purchase the monitors themselves; however, on tablets delivered by KTS the monitor application will be readily installed, and they will be set up to start the monitor application automatically and prevent unauthorised tampering with the operating system. The Kongsberg eScore has a variety of target models, enabling all kinds of ranges from 10m to 2,000m and calibers from air weapons to .50 cal.
