KOZA GROUP has acquired all the shares of Normandy Madencilik A.S. from Newmont Mining Corporation Limited in March 2005 thus becoming first Turkish company in the history of Republic of Turkey to realize gold production in this country
Company’s Ovacik Gold Mine situated at Bergama, Izmir has been a key factor in turning the country’s big gold potential into economical gain and it is the first gold mine operated in the Republic of Turkey. With its current productions at Izmir (Bergama) Ovacik, Izmir (Dikili)-Cukuralan, Izmir- Coraklitepe, Gumushane-Mastra ,Eskisehir- Kaymaz and Kayseri-Himmetdede mines, Koza plans to increase the productions by putting mine reserves into operation in the Aegean and East Anatolian regions of Turkey in near future.
Koza Gold Operations Company with its current projects and other projects, which will be developed in future aims to carry out transparent and durable gold mining by employing the best available high environmental standards and establishing mutual trust with the local people, and respecting their values and in doing so, to integrate economic and social development into protection of environment from the very first day it has started to operate. Koza has significantly added valued to Turkish economy while carrying out its activities to achieve its target.
