Since its inception 33 years ago as a nursing college, KPJ Healthcare University (KPJU) has been at the forefront of healthcare education in the country. The university campus is located in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, with two other colleges in Johor Bahru and Bukit Mertajam. It has produced more than 14,000 healthcare alumni across 40 programmes ranging from foundation, bachelor, up to PhD. KPJU is proud to be the first private college to offer Diploma in Nursing in Malaysia and upon attaining university college status in 2011. It becomes the only private institution of higher education authorised to offer Postgraduate Medical Specialist programmes.
KPJU is privileged to have the support of 30 KPJ specialist hospitals across the nation. The comprehensive hospital settings provide students with real clinical training opportunities. The involvement of medical consultants and experienced healthcare professionals contributes substantially to the clinical training of students. This produces a talent pool of qualified healthcare
professionals prepared to serve KPJ Group and other hospitals in the country and abroad.
Moving forward as a university, KPJU is committed to academic betterment through innovative and interactive programmes by incorporating digital technology into its teaching and learning experience. New methods of delivering courses for working professionals such as open distance learning and various micro-credential programmes will be introduced. New collaborations with renowned institutions in academics and research will be pursued. Together with KPJ hospitals, by adopting the concept of integrating excellent patient care, education and research, KPJU aspires to become a reputable Academic Health System in the world.
