KPU Brewing and Brewery Operations

Kwantlen Polytechnic University's (KPU) Brewing and Brewery Operations program is the only brewing diploma of its kind in British Columbia, and the first and only brewing program in Canada recognized by the Master Brewers Association. KPU Brewing students and brewery have won numerous awards over the years, including wins at the 2024 US Open College Beer Championship (placed 2nd overall in North America), 2024 and 2022 Canadian Brewing Awards, 2023 Canada Beer Cup, 2022 US Open Beer Championship (bronze), 2022 Canada Beer Cup and 2022 BC Beer Awards. KPU was also named a top brewing school in North America, winning awards in the US Open College Beer Championship, and also won Brewery of the Year at the 2019 BC Beer Awards. This program was developed in consultation with the BC Craft Brewers Guild and an advisory committee consisting of local brew masters, brewery owners and industry experts, and taught by award-winning instructors with decades of brewing and beer industry experience.
