We're on a mission to help producers of potting soils reduce the use of climate-damaging peat in their products. As the use of peat faces a ban, available replacements lack the necessary water retention capacity. This increases the irrigation costs for horticulture businesses in Germany by >1B€. In addition, retail stores in Germany lose ~13% of their plants due to drought stress accumulating to a 500M€ loss, which is only increased by peat-free potting soils. That's where our innovative product comes in. We've developed a biobased coating that enhances organic fibers to high-performance peat replacements. Our coating is a circular, sustainable, and economical solution to a pressing industry issue. But that's just the beginning. In addition, our coating can help improve the health and water retention capacity of soils in agriculture.
