KSI custom designs high-intensity pulsed UV light systems for industries that need to eliminate harmful microorganisms. The UV light flashes at a rate capable of operating in unison with high-speed conveyor systems. This allows for the UV light system to rapidly inactivate microorganisms, including fungal yeasts and molds, bacteria, rickettsiae, mycoplasma, and viruses. High-intensity pulsed light deactivates DNA by photochemical, photothermal, and photophysical methods. Classified as a sterilization agent, and determined by the FDA to be safe for the treatment of foods, food conveyors, food decontamination, food packaging, pharmaceutical packaging, clean rooms, pass-throughs, barrier isolation, and more.
