Kronos Machinery Oy Ab

Kronos Machiney Oy Ab is one of the oldest manufacturers agricultural and forestry machinery in Finland. It was founded in 1914 when the blacksmith Uno Wikar from Kronoby set up his workshop, and started repairing agricultural implements for the neighbouring farmers. In the 1920s he started to manufacture horse-drawn harrows, named Kronos. The first series of tractor-drawn harrows was manufactured in 1937. Since then, Kronos has produced a total of 80,000 harrows with three generations of the Wikar family running the company. Since 1979, Wikar has included forestry trailers and loaders, forestry harvesters, and various implements for tractors. Kronos aims to offer efficient and profitable solutions to its customers as the result of the company's design and production efforts. Kronos designs and manufactures quality harrows for seedbed preparation, forestry cranes and trailers, forestry harvesters, and various implements for tractors (e.g. hydraulic units, crane accessories, front-axle stabilising units, operating valve units). Part of the company's production goes to contractors and includes customized products meeting specific needs of individual contractors. The hydraulic components are of the highest standard and we use high-quality Scandinavian steel. The design and product development implemented is all the result of in-house engineering experts' efforts. We hold customer contacts in great esteem.
