KSB 2004 ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES LLC

The mission of KSB 2004 Environmental Services LLC (KSB 2004 ES) is to strengthen the capacities of historically marginalized and vulnerable communities to: (1) Promote inclusive and equitable climate change adaptation policies, projects and interventions. This is to be accomplished through promoting greater community involvement in the design, implementation and monitoring of National Adaptation Plans. (2) Advocate for inclusive and equitable community managed Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), Early Warning Systems (EWS) and Resiliency interventions. This will be accomplished through facilitating meetings between international, national and local stakeholders interested in the development of inclusive and equitable community managed Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Early Warning System (EWS). (3) Support active community participation in decarbonization and renewable energy and transport systems policies, programs and interventions. Increased community participation in the aforementioned policies, programs and interventions will be undertaken through facilitating collaboration between international, national and local stakeholders to design, develop and sustain community managed testing and monitoring systems and practices for residents in areas located in close proximity to mining operations.
