Kuwait Society for Science Technology and Innovation

The Kuwait Society of Science, Technology and Innovation is a non-profit organization officially licensed by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor. Founded in 2021, KSSTI aims to educate the local community on the importance of science, technology and innovation in order to diversify the sources of Kuwait's national income and foster the development of a true Knowledge Economy based on STI principles. KSSTI is open to cooperating with the scientific and research authorities in the country to develop strategies, development plans and general policies related to scientific research activities, innovation and technology transfer KSSTI leads the communicating and coordinating with the executive and legislative authorities for material and moral support for science, technology and innovation activities in Kuwait. KSSTI encourages individuals and local companies to benefit from the output of scientific and technical research to both develop and adapt technology to benefit from its uses in sustainable development. KSSTI works on encouraging the youth to study STI and specialize in all scientific and engineering fields, with a focus on teaching them ways to prepare and develop scientific research from a young age. KSSTI supports the use of global indicators and adherence to them in the field of science, technology and innovation and supports the position of Kuwait. KSSTI cooperates to update the data of scientific expertise available in the State of Kuwait to benefit from it to support related activities. KSSTI coordinates with the concerned authorities to document the achievements of science, technology and innovation in the State of Kuwait. KSSTI spearheads organizing conferences, lectures, and scientific meetings, while participating across local, regional and international levels.
