(KEL) is the business arm for the Ktunaxa Nation with shareholders including: • Ktunaxa Nation Council Society • Ɂaq’am • Ɂakisq’nuk First Nation • Lower Kootenay • Tobacco Plains Band KEL pursues and manages sustainable and responsible businesses and supports Ktunaxa Communities in cultivating business and economic development opportunities that lead to greater wealth, employment and capacity-building for Ktunaxa citizens and the Nation as a whole. Through current business subsidiaries Nupqu Resource, Kettle River Contracting and Amakis Transport, KEL provides a broad range of professional services to the mining, infrastructure, construction, forestry, power, civil and public works sectors. Together with our partners, and backed by an experienced professional workforce, KEL is able to support all aspects of land, resource, commercial and industrial development projects and initiatives occurring throughout Ktunaxa Territory and beyond.
