We, Kuching Beach Cleaners (KBC) are a society of individuals dedicated to the spread of awareness and advocacy for ocean conservation through our various beach cleaning activities as well as educative events. Although our society was registered officially under the Registrar of Societies in 2019, our roots come from humble beginnings in 2013, where a couple of ambitious young ladies volunteered to clean their favorite beaches in protest of careless littering. Hence that day forth, this movement has grown from two volunteers, to an average of sixty dedicated volunteers per cleanup at different beaches within Kuching.
