urtala Green Ammonia AS is an innovative Norwegian company, specialized in green ammonia production. Kurtala- was established in 2024 to develop innovative solutions for green energy. Kurtala is now developing a pilot project for green ammonia production in Stord, which will be operational by 2026. We will produce ammonia using proprietary cutting-edge technology to address ammonia shortages in Norway, Europe and globally. This involves developing, building and operating ammonia production systems where there is a need to manage scarcity and reduced costs for green ammonia. This pioneering business will be based in the energy hub at Heiane Stord, together with other important players such as Sustainable Energy, Alltec, Hyds, and Maritime Cleantech. We work closely with our partners to ensure reliable local supply of green ammonia and other necessary resources and expertise. Green ammonia is needed by the maritime sector, including shipping and by heavy industry for the reduction of NOx emissions.
