Kuruvindum was born out of Rahul Dev Gupta’s abiding passion for Sci-Tech. He conceptualized Kuruvindum to pursue this passion and, in the process, also leverage his academic background viz a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Electronics Engineering followed by a post-graduation in management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA). Rahul Dev Gupta coined the name “Kuruvindum” to reflect a diverse set of aspirations, ideas and influences. We are tech-sectoral-agnostic and invest with a long term perspective. We hand-hold the entrepreneur as & when needed (or requested), but we prefer not to micro-manage. Our investments were 100% India-centric since inception but we recently did our first cross-border investment in a Biotech firm in the USA. We are now actively seeking new investments in India and abroad wherein our differentiated investment approach can add value. EXIT PLANS By God's Grace, we have built up a fairly robust portfolio out of which a couple are close to meeting our internal divestment criteria e.g. (indicative & non-exhaustive list):- (a) Tech proof-of-concept, real-world viability, scalability etc. (b) Commercial traction (e.g. robust revenues, growth potential, +ve cash flows).
