For more than 40 years KU TORP (originally the Tertiary Oil Recovery Project) founded by Don Green and Paul Wilhite has been identifying the needs and finding solutions for oilfield operators working in Kansas as well as the continental United States. We work to evaluate the full potential of the oil recovery processes in Kansas. This includes tertiary oil recovery as well as more standard technologies such as waterflooding. Our current services are listed here.
Outreach and Technology Transfer including - regular meetings with Kansas and regional operators to identify their needs; workshops and training courses in cooperation with the oil and gas community; multi-disciplinary solutions to industry service and development needs
Internal and External Services including - core lab services; lab support; technical services; field Services
Supporting Collaborative Research including - technical members participate as PIs and co-PIs of proposals to secure funding; TORP associates; services will be offered to research groups
