Karyne Kuy

I am from the Northeast of Brazil, born in a city called Recife, 1993 — and since childhood, I have been passionate about the world of imagery. Autistic and vegetarian, I strive to live consciously and in harmony with nature. I hold a bachelor degree in Design from UTFPR, and my work focuses on projects aimed at childhood, nurturing my inner child and using illustration as a tool to enchant and learn. In addition to being a visual artist, I work as an art director, responsible for creating, illustrating and laying out several publications. Some highlights of my career include the Quem Abre o Bocão collection, in partnership with Lulu Lima, and projects focused on child therapy, such as Minha Autonomia and Estilos Parentais, with Iara Mastine. Meu Travesseiro Companheiro, a project funded by the Rouanet Law*, had a special feature at the Caixa Cultural in Salvador. My art explores themes such as emotional intelligence, playful learning, and the inner child, with a strong influence from Japanese culture, which brings a balance between simplicity and complexity. My goal is to create projects that connect and enchant people of all ages through the playful world of childhood. ✨ *Rouanet Law is a Brazilian law that provides tax incentives for private companies and individuals to sponsor cultural projects. It allows them to redirect part of their income tax payments to support the arts, including music, theater, and visual arts, fostering cultural development in Brazil.
