What does a Baggage Handling Systems consultant do?
With close to 20 years experience under the belt we are able to bridge the gap between a proposed design and the actual airport needs to come to the best solution possible. This is for both greenfield and complex brownfield BHS projects.
We conduct workshops for airport consultants and suppliers, we give tender input and we advise airport consultants to create baggage handling awareness.
For new green field airport terminals we give pre-tender input to solve building interface issues in an early stage. Together with a building architect sufficient space can be reserved for all functionalities of a new terminal.
For airports, where an existing baggage handling system needs to be modified, refurbished or the capacity needs to be boosted, things get more complicated. The BHS should remain operating, the space which is available for a mechanical extension can be a challenge and often the control system needs to be extended. All these issues need to be solved to make sure a project will be successful.
