Marianka is an innovative new company aiming to functionalize surfaces. In developing a material that serves as an interactive underlayer, Marianka is capable of imbuing any surface with interactive properties. A wall can become a light switch, a floor can become an electric piano, a carpet could respond to children playing, a room could detect arrivals, departures and occupation counts; almost as if by magic. These intelligent and connected surfaces are based on a patented technology called Talkative Matter which is capable of sensing the presence of a human body through touch or at a slight distance.
