LabCFD | UFRJ

LabCFD is a laboratory of the School of Chemistry/UFRJ focused on applied research using computational fluid dynamics (CFD), allowing the study of flows that cannot be easily measured or simulated experimentally, such as the flow inside cyclones and hydrocyclones, the leakage of toxic or flammable gases in confined or open environments, combustion, flows in oil reservoirs, in risers, in bioreactors, separation equipment, around cars, airplanes or rockets, etc. Our activities are developed with collaboration and financial support from Brazilian government research funding agencies, as well as support from industries, such as Petrobras.
