LACC Nepal (Legal Aid and Consultancy Centre Nepal) is a non-profit organization founded in 1987 by Prof. Dr. Shanta Thapalia. Its mission is to enhance women’s and marginalized groups' access to gender-responsive justice in Nepal. LACC provides a wide range of legal aid services, including legal counseling, court representation, mediation, and psycho-social support. It works at the policy level, advocating for laws that protect women’s rights and gender equality, and at the macro and micro levels, providing regional support and empowering grassroots communities through training and capacity building.
