The Luxembourg American Cultural Society (LACS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving Luxembourg heritage and fostering ongoing relationships between Luxembourg and the United States. Key Initiatives of LACS: Luxembourg American Cultural Center: Roots & Leaves Museum: Showcases the journey of Luxembourg Americans and their cultural heritage. Dooley-Wagner Research Center: One of the largest repositories for Luxembourg studies and genealogy outside Luxembourg, offering resources for individuals exploring their ancestry. GUIDESTAR Annual Events: Luxembourg Fest: Celebrates Luxembourgish culture with music, dance, cuisine, and art, strengthening community bonds. Luxembourg Heritage Weekend: Offers activities and programs to deepen understanding of Luxembourg's traditions and history. Publications: Luxembourg American Gazette: A newsletter providing insights into cultural events, historical narratives, and community news. Lion’s Roar E-Newsletter: An electronic publication keeping members informed about upcoming events and initiatives. Educational and Cultural Programs: Offers workshops, lectures, and classes on Luxembourgish language, history, and arts for all age groups. Facilitates school exchange programs to strengthen Luxembourgish-American friendships and reconnect families. LUXEMBOURG AMERICAN CULTURAL SOCIETY Dual Citizenship Assistance: Assists individuals in obtaining Luxembourg dual citizenship, having guided numerous families through the process. GUIDESTAR Collaborations: Works with American and Luxembourg ambassadors, consuls, and various partner institutions to promote cultural exchange. Supports Luxembourg and Luxembourg American visual and performing arts. Commerce and Tourism Promotion: Advocates for and develops commerce and trade between Luxembourg and America. Encourages tourism between the two nations, enhancing mutual understanding and economic ties & Preservation Efforts.
