About Lactalis Botswana

The Lactalis Group is a family owned company driven by passion for dairy that was founded in 1933 by André Besnier in Laval, France. Groupe Lactalis is a global player in the production and distribution of foods that are essential for everyday wellness: milk, dairy products (yogurt, cream based sauces, desserts and cheese) and fruit beverages. In the year 1995, Parmalat Botswana started operating in Botswana as a distribution company before the Lactalis Group acquired majority of shares in Parmalat. Today, Lactalis Botswana is part of Groupe Lactalis. The plant produces 500 ml and 1 litre UHT milk as well as 2 litre and 500 ml maas (Madilla) – all in the Bonnita brand.
