Læringshus Nærheden

The school of the future is based on a high professional level and innovative learning pathways, where the students work across the subjects with realistic tasks - ie. that children and young people learn by building, developing ideas, solving problems and using their natural curiosity when working in school. Experience - also from abroad - shows that this form of learning engages and lifts the level of all pupils, regardless of background and assumptions. Læringshus Nærheden will be Denmark's first pbulic school, which from the first line to the last stone has been designed with a focus on the competences of the future: creativity, communication, critical thinking and collaboration and focus on science, technology, innovation and entrepreneurship. The learning house will be approx. 15,500 m² and it will have 5 tracks on every grade - as well as an integrated day care center and sports hall. The pupils come from the new neighborhood Nærheden and Hedehusene School and the Charlottes school, which are merged with Læringshus Nærheden. Læringshus Nærheden is an open school that has a close connection and cooperation with the surrounding society's companies, organizations, associations and other institutions - locally, nationally and globally. Læringshus Nærhedens profile has been developed based on experience from both research, business and practical pedagogy. Behind the profile is LEGO Education and a number of researchers and business people together with the municipality's educational staff.
