LaEUMiDI

The Latino-European Social Psychological Research Network focused on Migration, Displacement and Inclusion La-EU-MiDI connects Latin American and European experts and researchers working on migration, displacement and inclusion of migrants, refugees and asylum seekers. As an intercontinental collaboration, LaEUMiDI focuses on bridging the gap between research and field work, specifically on how social psychological research does, can and should contribute to society, in particular in enhancing the social inclusion and well-being of migrants, refugees and asylum seekers, and supporting the practitioners working with these groups. By promoting this knowledge exchange we wish to overcome the English language publication bias that typically restrains access to knowledge between the Global South and the Global North, and therefore, broaden our scientific research perspectives and practical approaches in social inclusion, thus increasing scientific impact and international excellence. We wish to encourage a dialogue and exchange of practices in how social psychological researchers work with non-academic partners in order to access and contribute to the social inclusion of migrants, refugees and asylum seekers.
