LaFSI

At LaFSI we deal with interfacial phenomena occurring in confined or micro patterned structures characterized by large surface-to-volume ratios. In particular, we process and manufacture devices for studying the flow of droplets and emulsions at the micro-scale (Microfluidics), analyze how liquids wet engineered surfaces (Wetting), investigate the microscopic origins of friction (Nano Friction), observe how liquids films grow in a ordered nanoporous matrix (Adsorption).
