For some people, 2020 was in fact a wonderful opportunity to start living the life of their dreams. Many had the courage to become Digital Nomads and Remote Workers and were able to feel the true meaning of the word Freedom. Due to COVID-19, remote work has become increasingly more relevant. Being one of Portugal’s largest touristic destinations, Lagos now has the opportunity to start looking into the Digital Nomads and Remote Workers market to help this industry. The traditional approach to tourism has changed and a new reality is being created. Lately, we realized that this Digital Nomads and Remote Workers market is an excellent opportunity to sustain a vibrant tourism industry in both Lagos and the Algarve. This was how the “Lagos Digital Nomads” portal began. In this portal, local businessmen and entrepreneurs have the opportunity to target this new market of Digital Nomads and Remote Workers, by advertising their services and products. Accommodation, coworking spaces, restaurants, leisure, entertainment, and Portuguese lessons are some of the services in demand by many Digital Nomads and Remote Workers who visit Lagos.
