Lancaster County welcomes and permits productive and meaningful community engagement and feedback on its social media channels and respects First Amendment activity, subject to limitations that are viewpoint neutral and reasonable in light of the forum’s purpose.
All comments on Lancaster County social media channels will be moderated.
Lancaster County and its agencies reserve the right to remove comments containing the following content:
A. Content campaigning for or against the nomination or election of a political candidate or the qualification, passage, or defeat of a ballot question
B. Profane, vulgar, offensive, or threatening language and/or content
C. Content and/or language that promotes, fosters, or perpetuates discrimination of
any kind
D. Sexual content
E. Solicitations of commerce
F. Conduct or encouragement of illegal activity
G. Information that may tend to compromise the safety and/or security of the public
and/or public systems
H. Content that violates a legal ownership interest of any other party
I. Libelous and/or slanderous content
J. Content that is confidential or may otherwise violate privacy rights
K. Photographs or videos that are unsolicited and/or photographs or videos that are unrelated to a specific solicitation by the Lancaster County
L. Links to any of the inappropriate or prohibited content detailed in the above Paragraphs A through K
By posting comments on Lancaster County social media channels, you grant Lancaster County and its agencies the permanent and irrevocable right to reproduce, publish, display and use your comments for other purposes in any media form.
Lancaster County will disclose user information to third parties, as required by law, or in circumstances where Lancaster County believes, in its sole discretion, that comments indicate a situation that could be illegal, harmful or dangerous.
