LancsCAN

The main aim of LancsCAN is to mobilise Lancashire’s community voice and action on climate change, working collaboratively with others to advance the county’s climate agenda. Acknowledging the diversity of challenges faced in creating a sustainable future for all, LancsCAN has been co-developed by its members. It comprises a growing network of community-oriented organisations in Lancashire involved in various climate action fronts, including energy, biodiversity and wildlife, food, green and blue spaces, transport and mobility, housing and buildings, recycling and waste management. We are seeking to work with Lancashire’s councils and political leaders to realise the climate, environment and other relevant priorities of the Lancashire 2050 Plan. All three of Lancashire’s universities – Edge Hill University, Lancaster University and University of Central Lancashire – are working together to support LancsCAN’s development. LancsCAN do more climate action if we work together!
