Land Engineers, LLC

Our History Land Engineers LLC was established in August 2005 with the acquisition of David E. Schmelig Engineers of Bloomington, Illinois. Since then, Land Engineers LLC has been providing civil engineering and land development services for our Clients in central Illinois. In July 2011, Land Engineers LLC was purchased by SKS Engineers LLC of Decatur, but remains an independent office focusing primarily on site development and land surveying projects. Our close association with SKS Engineers LLC allows for seamless coordination of additional services for your project including structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and geotechnical engineering. Our Clients We have experience working with a wide range of Clients, including architects and engineers, contractors and construction managers, federal, state and local governments, financial institutions, realtors, land developers, commercial and private property owners, agribusinesses, and others. Our Qualifications Our staff includes licensed professionals in civil engineering and land surveying. We are prequalified with the Illinois Capital Development Board in the area of civil engineering. We can provide construction code compliance inspections often required by local and county building and zoning departments before issuing building occupancy permits. We are members of the McLean County Chamber of Commerce.
