Lãnd - Wool Innovation Week

Lãnd is an annual event, with activities distributed over several months, which aims to add value to the territory and local communities, through innovation, design and scientific research. The project frames Manteigas as a creative hub for adding value and innovation to the wool of Serra da Estrela's sheep, a unique local resource. The 1st edition will take place from the 14th to the 21st of May, and will feature creative residencies, design competitions, conferences, workshops, open days, co-creation sessions with local communities and exhibitions. The main goal of the project is to build a lasting ecosystem that aggregates innovation, in which the village of Manteigas can function as a living laboratory where citizens, companies, entrepreneurs, the Aldeias de Montanha Network and the Municipality of Manteigas work on building solutions capable of impacting the region through entrepreneurship. Lãnd - Wool Innovation Week is an initiative promoted by the Municipality of Manteigas in partnership with ADIRAM - Associação de Desenvolvimento Integrado da Rede de Aldeias de Montanha, and is co-financed by PROVERE Collective Efficiency Strategy “iNature - Turismo Sustentável em Áreas Classificadas” of Centro 2020, part of the Eixo Experimentação: Aldeias de Montanha Ecossistema Criativo e Comunitário.
