The Language Society

The Language Society exists to encourage the exchange of language knowledge between students of different cultures, races and nationalities. To scale the wall that stands in the way of a simple international relationship whether business or diplomatic. To make language learning free, accessible and fun to all students who have their own language to share. This society is open to current University of Manchester students only, from all courses and countries. Our primary activity is the language exchange, done by volunteer tutors who are students eager to share their language knowledge with others. No requirements or experience are required for tutoring, so this serves as the perfect platform for tutors to gain experience and practice. Students can join us for only £1.00 per academic year, and learn all the languages we have for free once you are a member! In addition we host open language exchanges and social events for all language lovers.
