"Language Modeling Association" was founded on May 11, 2006. The aim of the association is Georgian language modeling, the fundamental research and computer processing of the language.
With the donation of “Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation “ (www.rustveli.org.ge) Georgian Orthography and Explanatory electronic dictionaries were developed. You can find these dictionaries on our web-site.
“Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation “ also donated “Electronic System of Georgian Language”, which includes: 1. Georgian Orthography Spellchecker; 2. Program which converts Georgian text from one coding system into another; At the same time it underlines incorrect words and makes correct hyphenations 3. Electronic Guide of the Georgian Grammar; 4 Analyzer, which finds out morphology of the word and analyses the simple sentence.
By the donation of Open Society Georgian Foundation (http://www.osgf.ge/?lang_id=ENG) the first version of Georgian Spellchecker was developed.
