The Language and Laughter Studio

The Language and Laughter studio is a multicultural French language center and immersion French pre-school located in the heart of downtown Brooklyn, New York. Since 2005 we have been leaders in progressive language education that is centered in arts integration, imagination, child-driven projects, and play based learning. LLS is expanding and opening a new location in Clinton Hill at 810 Fulton street. This new school, will allow us to nearly double our enrollment capacity and offer our rich French Language and natured centered programming to a wider age range and socioeconomic demographic in a new and innovative space designed to ignite young children’s curiosity and inspire their art and play. We view our school as a living, evolving program. Our roots are in bilingualism, a love for French language and Francophone culture, and a belief that multilingualism is a tool not just for communication, but for understanding. Our children learn in French, and they also develop their fluency in the many languages of the natural world, visual art, music, and movement. Each year, as the children and our surroundings evolve and change, we reinvent ourselves together and enlarge the horizons of our collective perception. At LLS, we know that the best learning is hands-on, so our goal is to help children build on their own discoveries. Our warm, creative teachers serve as guides and facilitators, encouraging children to take the lead whenever possible. Through their own explorations and curiosities, the children lead us to each year’s emergent curriculum. The school includes the following programs: - A full time preschool with 4 classes for children 1 - 5 years; - Playful and interactive infant and toddler programs; - After-school programs for grade-school children; - Day Camps during summer and school breaks ; -French tutoring and private classes;
