LAPI2S - Laboratory of Privacy and Information Systems Security

Cybersecurity is a pressure point for most organizations as societies drive into the deep use of technology. The value of the information that needs to be protected, the impact that malicious activities can have on business operations, and the danger of distorting our society’s democratic values all contribute to the importance of cyber security for individuals, businesses, the industry, and society as a whole. Cyber security includes the protection of all elements of online information processing, such as: - Access to information, - Its transit across networks, - Information processing processes in multiple locations To support this driven research, LAPI2S was founded in December 2021 by Professor Nuno M. Coelho to bring together researchers from information systems, parallel computing, cryptography, resilient systems, blockchain, cybercrime, law enforcement, and other related cyber security fields. LAPI2S L@B is hosted in COPELABS, one of the leading Portuguese technology research groups and laboratories, in a partnership that benefits Portuguese and international researchers.
