L'Arche Chicago is a community in which people with and without intellectual disabilities sharing life in our three homes in Chicagoland. Our core members with disabilities contribute to the full extent possible to creating home life. Core members and assistants work together to shop, clean and cook and they eat and celebrate together. Assistants provide as-needed support for activities of daily living.
L’Arche welcomes applications from people of all ages, races, genders, faiths, and sexual orientations. People often join community after college, during a career change, or simply they are looking for growth opportunities. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and assistants are welcomed throughout the year based on the needs of the community.
