About Laboratory Automation Suppliers' Association (LASA)
Laboratory automation involves the use of AI and robotics to automate and optimize every stage of research and development. Achieving this requires a high level of integration between robotics, information technology and applied fields - such as life sciences and materials science - and fundamentally relies on deep, cross-sector collaboration between researchers, developers and front-line professionals in both academia and industry. Our association is a community of researchers and developers committed to advancing laboratory automation in life sciences and chemistry. We take a broad definition of laboratory automation, encompassing experimental automation, analytical automation and laboratory management system automation. To foster collaboration and drive innovation in the field, we host events such as the Laboratory Automation Monthly Workshop (#LA_Study) and the Laboratory Automation Developers Conference (LADEC).
