Lassonde Satellite Design Team

We are a satellite design team from the Lassonde School of Engineering at York University in Toronto. We are currently building the LasSat, a CubeSat who's mission is to carry out an outreach mission, in hopes of it being used as a global educational tool. We are competing in the Canadian Satellite Design Challenge, a national university-level satellite building competition. Throughout this competition we are also expanding our Outreach Program, an education program geared towards students from K-12, designed to help them learn about STEM in a more fun and engaging way, inspiring the next generation of engineers. LASSAT is proud to have members from a wide range of programs and disciplines, ranging from Space Engineering and Computer Science, to Digital Media and Statistics. Regardless of skill level, we are always excited to welcome new members. Our hope is for every member of LASSAT to leave with new knowledge and skills that they can apply to their future endeavours.
