Our product is a modular food container with sensors, tracking the weight of the content, as well as the freshness of the groceries inside. More than just having a Tupperware on steroids, we’re hoping to implement a system of personalized recommendations that tracks people’s grocery shopping and usage patterns over time, giving them ideas on how to cook leftover food that is about to go bad, and also suggest adjustments to their shopping patterns and quantities. The idea is to not only get rid of food and packaging waste, but also to reduce waste by cutting down on unnecessary shopping, achieving savings in food, but also in money spent.
