In 2019, Lora had the opportunity to meet Teepa Snow at an Alzheimer’s Conference. Inspired, she delved into videos, literature, and practices to learn the Positive Approach to Care® (PAC™) methods. Her goal was to enhance her ability to care for her own family members with dementia and to provide better support as a CNA in facilities and hospitals. In 2022, following her mother’s diagnosis with Vascular Dementia and her father-in-law’s diagnosis with Esophageal Cancer, Lora decided to pursue certifications with Teepa. Joey and Lora established a family business in the Permian Basin, addressing the significant lack of resources, to support their local and surrounding communities.
