The research conducted at the Laboratory of Thermal Engineering, Energy, and Processes (LaTEP), whether fundamental or applied, aims to provide effective responses to the sustainable, safe, and efficient management of energy, as well as to the development of innovative tools for improving environmental quality and waste treatment — all within the essential constraint of energy efficiency.
LaTEP is composed of 23 faculty researchers, 1 administrative staff member, 1 research engineer, and around twenty PhD students and postdoctoral researchers. The laboratory is primarily housed in the building of the National School of Engineering in Industrial Technologies (ENSGTI) at the University of Pau and Adour Countries (UPPA), with additional locations in Tarbes (about 40 km from Pau) and at the University Institute of Technology for Energy Transition and Efficiency (IUT GTE).
LaTEP is structured around three coherent and complementary research themes, aligned with its history and expertise:
