Laundry Love Cincinnati assists low/no-income families and individuals meet an overlooked, basic need—the washing of clothes and bedding. Laundry fees are paid for while volunteers assist with laundry services, entertain children, and create a caring space at the laundromat.
We believe that meeting this basic need is not about charity, but about compassion, which is mutually-life-changing through relational reciprocity. By turning our empathy into acts of service, we can help those who are house-less feel human again, and even allow families to redirect their funds to other basic, everyday necessities.
By converting local laundromats into a place where the walls are broken down of social, economic, and cultural constructs that divides people, and into a place where people can gather, we can rekindle trust and offer hope within a community.
