Laura Rathbone van Meurs qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist (BSc Hons) from the University of Central Lancashire in 2011. After working in the NHS and the private sector Laura went on to specialise in chronic and complex pain states working at St Thomas' Hospital in London. She obtained her Masters (MSc) from Kings' College London in 2016 in Advanced Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy.
She is experienced in delivering tailored physiotherapy treatment incorporating psychology skills from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness.
She runs Pain Geeks, with her friend and colleague Christine Petrides, which is dedicated to understanding pain through social, philosophical, psychological and scientific perspectives.
