Lauren’s Cows is an Art and Homeware retailer centred around the cows paintings of owner, Lauren Terry. Renowned for her characterful portraits of cattle Lauren’s Cows is dedicated to showcasing cattle of all breeds through art. Launched in 2012 as a mother-daughter partnership, Lauren’s Cows has taken a shift in path following Jude’s retirement. The once Cumbria/Yorkshire family business now makes its permanent home Lauren’s city centre art studio, York. From her top floor studio, Lauren paints and dispatches her art to cow lovers and collectors across the world. Lauren’s Cows takes great pride in creating beautiful products made in the U.K. to the highest quality. Each piece starts with a unique acrylic painting which then transform into Fine art giclee print, fine bone china mugs and jugs, placemats, textiles and greetings cards. Specialising in commissioned paintings, Lauren has mastered the balance of character and colour. Personality is everything to Lauren as it’s what draws her to paint cattle. She collaborates with farmers, herdsmen and show circuit members to capture their animals on canvas in a fresh way while still honouring the breeds characteristics.
