WHAT I DO: I help lawyers, law firms, and corporate legal departments achieve greater efficiency, reduce costs, and increase profitability through the use of cloud-based technology. WHAT MAKES ME QUALIFIED: I have been deeply involved in the legal industry for the past 30 plus years by working in the trenches as law office manager, legal administrator, and Directors of Operations in a number of small, medium and large law firms. In 1998 I transitioned from law firm employee to law firm management and IT consultant. WHO I WORK WITH: I work closely with application developers and have acquired certifications when necessary or beneficial from multiple software vendors. I support my clients in their use of legal oriented applications including Amicus Attorney, Clio, Zola Suite, Compulaw, Worldox, Net Documents, PCLaw, Timeslips, and QuickBooks Online. SERVICES I PROVIDE: I offer turn-key or limited scope assignments including needs analysis, recommendations, implementation, training and support of cloud-based applications and firm workflow. My expertise, developed over years of experience helping lawyers and law firms both from within as well as an outside consultant, gives me a unique advantage over generic IT firms. Most recently, I have helped law firms transition to working remotely due to necessity. I have also assisted law firms in their conversion from traditional paper files to a fully digitized cloud-based document retrieval system. RESULTS: Most firms use about twenty percent of the features built into any application. Furthermore, firms attempt to change the way they do things to be compatible with a particular application. My approach is to customize the applications, recognizing the firm’s needs, budget and culture, which increases staff buy in and maximizes the firm's return on their investment (ROI.) Through customization and training, firms have significantly reduced the time it takes to perform tasks, thereby increasing daily work product.
